Gratitude Garden

Help kids practice mindfulness by reflecting on things they’re grateful for in this fun spring craft!

Instructions
[pods]

Gather your materials: paper, markers, scissors, popsicle sticks, buttons, glue, and plasticine.

[/pods]

[pods]

Draw a flower and cut it out. Repeat on another colour of paper, making a smaller flower.

[/pods]

[pods]

Grab a button and glue the smaller flower on top of the larger flower, and the button on the centre of the smaller flower.

[/pods]

[pods]

Decorate a popsicle stick using your markers. Draw and cut out some leaves.

[/pods]

[pods]

Glue the flower to the top of the popsicle stick and the leaves on the side.

Draw, decorate, and cut out a card with room to write on. Write down “I am very grateful for” and then finish the sentence! Ask an adult to help if you need to. When we made our garden, we were grateful for our parents, our friends, and the fun of singing and dancing!

[pods]

Glue the card to the top of the flower so everyone can read what you’re grateful for.

Use the plasticine to make a base for your flower so it can stand upright. You can make as many flowers as you want to grow your gratitude garden!
