These handmade “I AM” cards are a great classroom (or home) craft to help kids reflect on what they value about themselves right now, giving them a positive self-identity.
Materials required: paper, markers, pencil crayons, scissors, glue, and decorations like pipe cleaners, sequins and pom poms.
Instructions:
- Cut one piece of paper in half. Cut the second into a smaller rectangle. Glue it to the first.
- Using a marker, write “I Am” at the top of the paper. Then fill in what you like about yourself!
- Draw a picture on the centre piece of paper using markers and pencil crayons. Then decorate with pipe cleaners, pom poms, sequins, or other fun items.
